If you really push it you can get what you want but you may not like it. It feels good to get your way until payment comes due. God’s way always leads to blessing and fulfillment. Man’s way leads to suffering and disaster.
God chose David to be King even though no one else saw David that way. God saw David as “A Man after God’s Own Heart”. It means a man who truly has God’s interest at heart over his own. We all have issues, a past. We all have stuff, but God chooses us anyway. Trust God to make us into what he wants us to be the David’s, the warriors, dancing before the Ark, praising and honoring God, people after God’s own heart.
Jesus is your deliverer. He saves us, delivers us, cleans up and fixes our lives. We have His very presence living in us, living through us, touching every person we meet. We are the body of Christ and so Jesus is and we are everything He is.
